Privacy & Security Awareness Posters
One of the most powerful tools available
to privacy and security officers
Despite
the high tech nature of so many aspects of network security and
data privacy, the humble printed poster, displayed in office hallways
and on lunch room bulletin boards, remains one of the most effective
weapons in the constant battle to get the message across to employees.
So
says Stephen Cobb, a veteran designer of privacy and security awareness
programs that have been delivered to tens of thousands of employees
at some of the world's largest companies.
"As a communicator, I
find it reassuring that printed posters, in many ways the epitome
of analogue communications, are still able to exert a powerful
influence on employee awareness in the digital age."
In the second quarter of 2003,
Dreva Hill, publisher of Privacy for Business books, will begin
offering a range of privacy and security posters that companies
can order via the web. All will be original designs, reviewed and
approved by Stephen Cobb, printed in full color on heavy, UV-protected
stock at sizes of 11x17 inches or larger. A number of posters will
also be offered free of charge, in lower resolutions, suitable for
lower resolution in-house printing at sizes up 8.5x11 or A4.
